gallery libby sellers, london
as part of london design festival, gallery libby sellers is showing its inaugural exhibition of specially commissioned,
limited edition designs. the gallery is the venture of former design museum curator libby sellers and is a concept
venue to nurture and promote design talent. here are some designboom pictures of the pieces featured in the

moritz waldermeyer, by royal appointment 2007
the inspiration for ‘by royal apointment’ came from waldermeyer’s work with hussein chalayan. the series of chairs
are reactive to the users color of clothing, changing the ambient light emited to match, giving the individual sitter their own halo of light.

julia lohmann & gro grundmann erosion series 2007
the erosion series is made from industrial soap, shaped using natural processes. the soap is first cast into simple, geometric forms and then naturally eroded into ‘semi-organic’ objects. each piece is unique by embracing the imperfections embodied in the process.

peter marigold, octave series 2007 the octave series combines divided and inverted tree branches with forms and components derived from stringed, musical instruments to make anthropomorphic shelving units.
